Social Distancing Day 10

Not sure I’ll do these daily because frankly I’m boring myself.

I am seeing some cute needlework things on social media under hashtag #bewellandstitch . For myself, not interested in stitching about this pandemic but there are lots of freebies from designers offered up to help with being shut in. Most craft stores will still ship supplies and the designers are generally doing things using what you might have on hand.

The biggest excitement for me (luckily) has been that the smell of the cabbage I used to make a cabbage soup earlier this week has finally dissipated.

Stay well and do your part to keep others well!

Social Distancing Day 9

I should be figuring more out about this blog.

Somehow, instead, I’m down a rabbithole of reorganizing wishlists. Actually I do know how I got there — browsing books to see if something might help me learn more about WordPress.

I just finished cracking up that all the add-a-bidet-to-your-toilet product links from various companies now go to sites with variations of “out of stock due to overwhelming demand.” I certainly do not find this virus, social distancing, the probable continued deaths, the outlook or the hardships of anyone impacted funny — but anything about toilet paper is starting to be a grim bit of humor.

Feel free to recommend me something in the comments that might help with my new WordPress adventure, links or books, free or not.

Hi!

I’m finally starting a blog with my own reading (and assorted) experiences. Bear with me as I figure this stuff out and move over older reviews.

Put it off a long time because I was happy and active on a lot of book sites. Short version of that: many died, many were shut down or taken over by a retail site, many changed to want endless book promotions, many now have inactive staff where possibly closing …

Now if I can just find a way to reproduce the defunct FictFact features here I will be a happy reader.
